MRJ21 Cable Assemblies — 24-Pair High-Density Data Center Interconnects
MRJ21 (Amphenol mRJ21, also referred to as RJ-21 or Telco 50-pin) connectors carry 24 pairs of Ethernet, analog, or T1/E1 signals in a single compact housing. MRJ21 cable assemblies are the standard interconnect for high-density data center switching, blade server chassis, and industrial network infrastructure where port density and cable management efficiency are primary requirements.

Custom Options
Custom length, custom boot colour, custom label printing, custom pair assignment for proprietary applications. OEM branding on boot and cable jacket available for structured cabling contractors and reseller programs.
HS-Link cable assemblies
HS-Link Cable Assemblies for KUKA Robots and Industrial Motion Control
HS-Link is a proprietary high-speed serial communication interface used in KUKA KR series robots and select industrial motion control systems. HS-Link cable assemblies carry real-time synchronisation and control data between the robot controller (KRC) and peripheral drive or sensor systems at speeds that require tight impedance control, low signal skew, and multi-layer shielding to maintain communication integrity in electrically noisy factory environments.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions — MRJ21 and HS-Link Cable Assemblies
What is the difference between MRJ21 and a standard RJ-45 patch cable?
An MRJ21 connector carries 24 twisted pairs (equivalent to 24 RJ-45 channels) in a single compact housing roughly the size of a large Ethernet connector. This makes MRJ21 ideal for high-density switching and blade chassis where running 24 individual RJ-45 patch cables would be impractical. An MRJ21 fan-out cable breaks out one MRJ21 connector to 24 individual RJ-45 jacks at the other end.
Which Cisco and network equipment uses MRJ21 connectors?
MRJ21 connectors are used on Cisco Catalyst blade switches, Cisco Aironet access points, Nortel and Avaya blade chassis, and various DSLAM and voice gateway equipment. The specific MRJ21 variant (angled or straight entry, male or female) depends on the equipment model. Provide your equipment model when requesting a quote for compatibility verification.
Can you manufacture HS-Link cable assemblies compatible with KUKA robots?
Yes. Nexharn manufactures HS-Link cable assemblies to OEM connector specification for KUKA KR series robots. We require the connector model reference, cable length, and mounting interface drawing from the customer. Flexible drag chain variants and extended length custom runs are available. Prototypes in 2 weeks, production MOQ from 10 pcs.
What is the minimum order quantity for MRJ21 cable assemblies?
Standard MRJ21 cable assemblies (24-port RJ-45 fan-out) start from 50 pcs MOQ. Custom length or custom pair assignment programs may require 100 pcs minimum. Sample quantities of 5-10 pcs are available for product qualification and stock code setup. Contact us with your required length and quantity for a firm quotation.
Do MRJ21 cable assemblies support Cat6 performance?
Yes. Nexharn manufactures MRJ21 cable assemblies in both Cat5e (100MHz) and Cat6 (250MHz) specifications. Cat6 MRJ21 assemblies use 23 AWG solid conductors with individual pair separators to meet crosstalk performance requirements. Specify the required performance category and application (1G Ethernet, 10G Ethernet, or PoE+) in your RFQ.
